Halle aux Bleds, Saint-Flour

In 1323, the community of poor priests in the city changed status. They formed a collegiate chapter and decided, the same year, to build a new place of During the Revolution, the building was not spared: vaults destroyed, carved sculptures, stained glass windows, nave destroyed. The city council bought it in 1791 and decided to establish a covered market specialized in the sale of cereals. The Collegiate becomes the Hall of Bleds (wheat). The side chapels are, in turn, rented in 1800. Walled and divided into several levels of elevation, they become businesses and homes. Used as a covered market until the 1980s, the building experienced a complete restoration campaign between 2005 and 2008.
