There is no slackening in the demand for ornamental stock, both trees and shrubs, and for evergreens. The nursery- man who has them to offer has only to locate his buyers. Specific offers in the columns of The Review, either in this de- partment or in the Classified columns, ac- complishes that. The campaign of the Illinois State Nurserymen's Association urging the pub- lic to "Plan to Plant Another Tree" is reenforced by nurserymen of the state stamping the slogan on the catalogues they send out. A clip sheet has been sent out to newspaper editors containing an article on evergreens by A. H. Hill and shorter ones by J. A. Young and F. F. Rockwell. Upon the retirement of Ernest F. Coe, founder and president, from the Elm City Nursery Co., New Haven, Conn., new of- ficers were chosen at the annual meeting. The now roster is: President, Walter E. Campbell; vice-president and general manager, W. W. McCartney; secretary and treasurer, Robert B. Faxon; superin- tendent, William H. Egan; director of landscape department, John L. Donnelly. Mr. Campbell has been with the company for the last fifteen years. Mr. McCart- ney has had much to do with the building up of the company's interest at Wood- mont. Mr. Faxon is a graduate of the landscape department of Ohio State Uni- versity. Mr. F]gan has grown up with the business at Edgewood. Mr. Donn
