WWI. Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. Monfalcone : the trench at 'Quota 98', also called 'Trincea Cuzzi'. It connected the 'Tamburo' first line with the back line of 'Quota 98' and with the trench 'Joffre'. It is two metres deep and has got many stepped accesses. One can still walk through its whole length. The trench makes a 30 metre long bend. It has got loopholes for riflemen, a machine-gun place and a look-out.
