All these forms of fungi should be collected and carefully dried and preserved, for, although not described in this book, the saying that " once a mycologist always a mycologist " is very generally true, and the possession of a collection when the student extends his study will be found most useful. The above suggestions as to localities as to wliere fungi are likely to be found is by no means exhaustive. I have found many interesting microscopic forms on old deserted nests of wasps and bees.
