1 July 2018 - A Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter pours 1000 litres of water of flames in the Winter Hill fire, narrowly missing a firefighter as she ducks down to the ground. Fire crews from across the UK have converged on Winter Hill to control the blaze which is growing by metres per hour. Lancashire Fire and Rescue and Lancashire Police are leading the response to the 'major incident'.
