Last year at this time everyone proclaimed it the "worst ever," but it is even worse this year. Everything is short. Eoses, in limited supply, are to be had at $10 and up. Carnations sell quickly at $6 to $15. As usual, red ones are in big demand and are "as scarce as hen's ; A few chrys- anthemums are still to be seen—pom- pons in pink and white, seedlings and a few Christmas Eve and Patty. The most plentiful flowers again this year will be poinsettias and, although most of the florists have grown consid- erably more of these than usual, the supply will be inadequate.
