BAXTEK (La Rue). A fine large redapple, which brings ahigh price in the Brit-ish market if grownfree from fungousspots, to which unfor-tunately it is some-w^hat subject. Origin : With Rue, near Brock-ville, Leeds Co., On-tario, but introducedby Mr. Baxter. Tree: Healthy,vigorous, hardy, mod-erately productive. Fruit : Size large ,3x3J : form roundish,slightly conical ; colorred ; stem f of aninch in a narrow,funnel form Baxter.
