Croatia (Oct. 7, 2014) Sailors participate in a joint visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training with members of the Croatian and Slovenian navies aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) during a scheduled port visit. Mesa Verde, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
