Surva International Masquerade Festival in Pernik, Bulgaria, a member of the European Federation of Carnival Cities. This year, 2023, the event was held for the 29th time, for three full days, and some 10 000 masked dancers from all over Europe participated, making Surva the biggest Winter festival on the continent.
