Macro Closeup of very common House Cockroach with its long antenna. Its Scientific Name is Periplaneta americana. This hissing cockroach is unconscious and is lying upside down with its ventral side up for laboratory dissection for study purpose. Such hissing cockroaches are very common in every nook and corner of house and kitchen which are left moist after cleaning, this serves as a pathogen carrier for a variety of diseases and is generally attached to unhygienic environments. Despite being gross, in one part of the globe, this is considered as a delicacy in some parts of the world, such as China where they are considered as a rich source of protein.
