The specimenis then immersed for one minute in methylene blue, hastily washedin water and dried. (b) Ehrlichs Triacid Stain. The method of application is verysimple. The specimen is flooded with the mixture for one to twominutes and hastily washed in water. There is no danger of over-staining. It does not bring out the nuclei well, but stains theneutrophile and eosinophile granules deep red. It is, therefore, aperfect stain for the diagnosis of leukaemia.
