Spain, La Rioja: View of the Monastery of Yuso in San Millán de Cogolla
The monastery of Yuso is situated in little village San Millán de Cogolla in northern spanish province La Rioja. Only one kilometer away is to find the former monastery Suso originally of the 6th century. Yuso was found in 1067 and guards one of Spain´s most important medieval literature. The museum shows also the first texts written in Castilian and Basque which were produced in the 10th century by Benedictine Monks in Suso. Boths are UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
