Trafalgar day remembrance at Collingwoods monument Tynemouth 21 Oct 2021


Captain Catherine Jordan RN, Commanding Officer for HMS Collingwood and the Maritime Warfare School, delivered this year’s Trafalgar address at the Collingwood monument in Tynemouth North Shields with the toast at 1200 hrs 0n 21st October 2021. Present were members of HMS Collingwood, Trinity House and the Tynemouth. Born in Newcastle on 26 September 1748, Collingwood’s naval career through the American War of Independence and the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars was an outstanding example of duty and courage.
