They are generally dense, low growers, occupying comparatively little space and well adapted to beautify small grounds. If judiciously pruned, they can also be trained to assume nicturesque tree forms. The foliage is varied and attractive, flowers very showy and often highly perfumed. The fruit is ornamental. There are numerous varieties, all of which are hardy and will thrive in any dry soil. We have endeavored to select the best and most distinct. They flower in May and June. C Azarolus. C.
