Stobart lorries have been witnessed delivering to the controversial exploratory shale gas fracking site currently under construction near Blackpool where unconventional gas extraction company Cuadrilla intend fracking for shale gas. The protesters stated that Stobarts boasts a positive contribution to both society and the environment. The protesters 'slow walked' the lorries a short distance through the industrial park to the main road. Protesters stated that Lancashire Police are denying them their lawful right of protest with 'slow walks' which were accepted tactics at Balcombe, Barton Moss and other protests and due to this they have had to move their protests further afield and target businesses supplying Cuadrilla or their site. Several companies have already ceased supplying the Cuadrilla site due to these protests which they refer to as 'pop-up' protests.
