United Kingdom /London / Best of British/ Sunspel/Makers of woven clothing and underwear/Sunspel was founded in 1860 by Thomas A Hill. The company makes high quality, everyday clothing. Products include the earliest English T-shirt in 1914, the original English boxer short introduced in 1947 and the Riviera polo shirt sported by Daniel Craig in his role as James Bond in Casino Royale. Sunspel was owned by generations of Hill family members up until 2005, when it was bought by Nicholas Brooke and Dominic Hazlehurst.
