Loch Garten Native Pinewood Strathspey

The Ospreys of Loch Garten Overzealous Victorians wiped out the Osprey as a breeding species in Scotland in the last century. It was not until the mid 1950's that a pair near to Loch Garten again successfully raised a brood. Since then Ospreys have bred every year at this site protected by the RSPB, to spread throughout the Scottish Highlands.
