Roncesvalles is the first stop for St. James pilgrims on the Camino Frances in the spanish side of the Pyrenees. The medieval church La Colegiata de Santa Maria la Real is built in french gothic style and considered inside one of the most beautiful churches along the St. James Way. The village has a long history of receiving and hosting St. James pilgrims.
