FRY, shingle-mill and farmer, Medford, was born inJefferson Co., N. Y., July 26, 1846. He came to WaupaCa Co.,Wis., with his mother, having lost his father in the Lake Erie ;he lived there till 1862, and then went to Fond du Lac, where helearned engineering, which he adopted for his business. July 5,1874, he came to Medford and opened a saloon. He bought theBlack River House, which he managed till 1876, when he built ahouse of his own. In 1880 he built a shinizle-mill, with a capac-ity of 30,000 a day. He owns 200 acres of land. In 1875 hemarried Miss Katie Thompson, of Dorchester. They have threechildren—Laura B., Robert Moore and Frank W. He was firstTown Treasurer before the precincts were formed ; was re-electedin 1879-80, and belongs to the Masonic ^S/.^^^ F. A. HEALY, of the firm of Dod-e & Healy, Mcdtbrd, wasborn in Markesan, Green Lake Co., Wis., Aug. 11, 1851. Whenfour years of age his parents moved to Horicon, where he remaineduntil his eighth year, when the family removed to Fond du he went to the graded school, and in 1868 to Ripon Uni-versity. In 1871 he was a clerk at Ft. Howard, and came toMedford with Mr. Wheelon, by whom he was employed until hebegan his present in 1875. He was the first CountyTreasurer of Taylor, being appointed by Gov. Taylor, and re-electedin 1876. In 1874 he married Miss J. Williams, of Colum-bia Countv.
