Noct. ii. p. 301 (1852). Head, thorax, and abdomeu fuscous or reddish brown more or less tinged with grey ; tegulse with black line near base. Fore wing fuscous or reddish brown tinged with grey, the inner half greyer except at base and tornus ; subbasal line double, blackish, minutely waved ; antemedial line treble, excurved from below costa to vein 1; a whitish streak in terminal part of cell traversing the reniform, which is slightly defined by grey and with brown spots on its upper and lower parts; a faint oblique sinuous medial line from beyond lower angle of cell to inner margin; postmedial line treble, oblique.
