5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 29, 2017) – Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced) replace the main landing gear for an AV-8B Harrier aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked on the America ARG and is deployed to maintain regional security in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
