Extensively rubbed ornamental engraving over the breech showing remnants of gilding. Cut,rounded flintlock. Replacement cock with a waterproof pan. The lockplate signed,"VERGNES,Marseille". Dark walnut full stock with fine silver wire inlays. Beautiful silver furniture bearing trophies of war and flowery vines in relief. Trigger guard soldered,the rear part replaced. Iron ramrod.
