Follonica is in Grosseto Province in the Italian region of Tuscany & combines industry with a resort popular with Italians.

Follonica is a town in Grosseto Province in the Italian region of Tuscany. The present town was founded on an Etruscan and Roman settlement in 1834 by Grand Duke Leopold II for the workers of a new ironworks plant. It still has an industrial base but Follonica is also a popular tourist site during the summer, mostly visited by the Italians themselves who value the cleanliness of its beaches and seawater.
