[Plate XXXII.] The subject of this note is a bone the true place of which in theskeleton, I suggest, with much deference to the opinions of the emi-nent authorities who have described it, has been the interpretation I suggest should prove correct, it will indicatean altogether new genus, perhaps even a new order. The oldest known example originally formed part of Dr. Mantellscollection. Subsequently it was purchased by the British Museum,where, labelled Scapula of an unknown Reptile, it is exhibitedamongst the Megalosaurian remains. Dr. Mantell originally referredit to his then newly discovered Iguanodon, but not without a described it in the following terms :— A scapula or omoplate 18 inche
