Giant Sawgill. Neolentinus ponderosus. The mushroom was found along the Ross Fork of Rock Creek, in the Pintler Mountains of western Montana growing under conifers. The base appeared to be attached to or growing alongside the root of a lodgepole pine. The cap is about 5 inches across.
