The glue should be very hot, and ofthe right consistency—neither thick, nor thin, butshould run off the brush in one continuous stream,about as thick as oil. Fill the brush and rub theglue well over the back of the sections. Work thebrush outwards from the centre towards the head andtail, and thus the possibility of the glue getting on tothe edges of the book will be avoided. When thebook is taken out of the press, just glance over itto see that head and back are still square, and set itaside for the glue to harden a little—but it must. ¥ /> l
