Fruit medium siae, often large, qbovate,'tapering rather ob- liquely to the stem. ' Skin smooth, light greenish-yellow, sprin- kled with small grey dotsj and occasionally a dull red cheek, tj^talk an inch long^ planted in an abrupt cavity. Calyx rathei small, set in a basin of mioderate size. ^ Elesh white, fine grained^ buttery, melting, and abounding in a sweet, sprightly, perfumed juice of fipe flavour. A hardy and capital variety for all boOs, Not high flavour. Middle of September. Hanna or Hanners, quite distinct from the above: theyoiftig wood of Cushing is greyish-brown, while the Banners is green- ish. Fruit similar la Cushing. ,.
