In a strong room is a choice collection of gems, cameos, & the year 18S9, nearly 2,000 separate objects have been acquired by giftor purchase, including Mr. Greville Chesters collection of Phcenician, Hittite,and other oriental antiquities ; also several valuable Egyptian relics, amongthem a remarkable Portrait Mummy. In the basement are a number of modelsand casts of mediaeval architecture, the property of the Oxford Architecturaland Historical Society, together with their GUY FAWKES to our right, we approach 3.
