Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma, light micrograph. This is an example of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma. It is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in which the tumor cells selectively grow within the blood vessel lumina. The commonly involved sites are the central nervous system, skin, kidney, lungs, adrenals, and liver, but it may be seen in other organs. This photomicrograph shows intravascular large B-cell lymphoma involving the prostate. The blood vessels were engorged with neoplastic cells throughout the specimen.
