UTERINE TUMOR, X-RAY


Uterine tumors can be detected by hysterography, an x-ray examination where the uterus is opacified by injection of a contrast agent opaque to x-rays. Benign tumors—polyps, fibromas—and malignant tumors can be identified. Malignant tumors occur more frequently in he mucosa lining the uterine cavity.
