They can defeatany of the teams in Minnesota except the champion Red Menwith the greatest ease, and the Red Men are compelled to extendthemselves to the full limit. In the Twin Cities a very suc-cessful league has been operated the past season under the nameof the Twin City Basket Ball League. The games have beenhard fought and well attended, the Lyndale team of Minneapoliswinning the championship. Each succeeding year should work. The latter team caneasil}^ claim the championship of the Twin Cities as they aresuperior to all others. The St. Paul and Minneapolis news-papers have given the game more prominence than ever before,the St. Paul Dispatch being especially considerate along theselines, but the game is entitled to even more encouragementthrough the columns of the press than it has received. In North Dakota the game is doing nicely. The first team toorganize in that State was the Fargo Several yearsago this team made its first trip abroad, which consisted of asojourn m Minneapolis, St. Paul and Red Wing, were thoroughly trounced by every team they met on thattrip, but the experience they had was of untold value.
