Animal movement scientist and wildlife broadcaster Lizzie Daly takes you on a journey following in the footprints of wildlife from across the world. With genuine tales of tagged and tracked species this talk will showcase some of the new challenges our wildlife faces in a changing world. Lizzie Daly is a Welsh Adventurer, Explorer, and Wildlife biologist with a passion for conservation, and sustainability. Lizzie is currently researching for her PhD in Animal Movements, using tag technology to better understand African Elephant behaviour. She is also an Academic Teaching & Outreach Fellow at Swansea University. Much of Daly’s spare time is spent actively inspiring women into the wildlife adventure space, most recently she has run 140km solo in temperatures reaching -35 (celcius) in the Finnish Arctic Circle. Lizzie has worked on countless productions for broadcasting and online. Including BBC Earth, National Geographic, Animal Planet 'Solved, Nature's Greatest Mysteries', BBC One Wales Weatherman Walking series 2020 + 2021, BBC Two series Curious Creatures. Most recently she has been filming for BBC’s The One Show and BBC Winterwatch. A keen conservationist, her work has been recognised by some of the world's most respected NGOs and charities. As a result Lizzie is an ambassador for Sharks 4 Kids, Norwich Science Festival, the Marine Conservation Society.
