During the last week, due to milder weather, flowera have become more plen- tiful. Koses are of good quality, espe- cially Ophelia and Columbia, which easily find a market. Beauties move slowly, not being of the best quality. Bussell is better and sells well. Short- stemmed Ophelia, Ward and Columbia are not coming in as plentiful supply as business demands. Good bulbous stock, such as narcissi, hyacinths and freesia, are arriving and give the shops a spring-like appearance. Various Notee. The Detroit Florists' CJlub met Janu- ary 8, with J. F. Sullivan in the chair. Mr. Walker, a well known business man of this city, gave an interesting talk to the club on "Efl&; Philip Breitmeyer gave an account of Christ- mas business in the trade, which was listened to with close attention. E. A. Fetters had the decorations for the New Year celebration of the Ford Motor Car Co., which was held in the ballroom of the Statler hotel. This was the most elaborate affair of its kind occurring in this city for some time, there being 200 tables which were effect- ively decorated with calendulas. M. Bloy, a former florist of Detroit, was seen at work on this contract and it may be said that he knows how to deliver the goods. H. E. T. ALBAinr, N. Y. Club Banquet. The annual banquet of the Albany Florists' CJlub took place at Keeler's restaurant January 2, with forty mem- bers in attendance. Fred A. Danker acted as toastmaster. The out-of-town guests were James Kairns and Stephen Greene, both of Philadelphia; Maurice Cohen, New York; Joseph Traudt, Cana- joharie;
