It will there be seen how, while oneof them laid the foundation of the German Baptist Breth-ren or Dunkards,—one of the most widely diffused andrespected Christian denominations in America,—the otherestablished a successful theosophical community on the Co-calico which flourished for many years, and whose legendsand records gave the incentive to prepare these pages.
