A gate at Kensington without pilasters, sketched by Nortonand published, shows the peculiar small rosette in the centre ofthe overthrow, as well as the same finials, a fringe of twisted spikesbetween double thrown-over leaves over the lock-rail, and C scrollsbelow it, a combination conclusive as to its having belonged to thegroup. A sketch taken more fecently, but with no note as tolocality, shows that one even finer than the Clapham or Richmondexamples existed somewhere in the west of London.
