The Exhi-bition for the present year displays on the part of the public a mania for seeing ones-self in oil almost as general as the ardour for seeing ones-self in print, •which hasprevailed at different periods. We cannot, however, dwell on any particular feature,or set of features, in the collection; but will proceed with our scamper as rapidlyas possible. No. 1. The very first picture in the catalogue is called A Tournament, and representsa scene very similar to those which are enacted in Astleys Circle. The Knights aremounted on highly-trained chargers, and appear to be going througha surprising act ofhorsemanship. After the Tournament, we get six portraits
