The course of thefemoral artery and vein corresponds to a line extending from a pointmidway between the anterior superior spine of the ilium and the sym-physis pubis to the internal condyle (upper and back part). The arterylies on the anterior aspect of the leg in the upper third of this line (seeFig. 138), on the internal aspect (Hunters canal) in a little more thanits middle third, and more toward the posterior aspect in its lowerthird. 2. Femoral vein. Same line as for the femoral artery, lying to itsinner side above and outer side below (Fig. 138). 3. Anterior crural nerve accompanies femoral artery and vein in
