Chaplain (Maj.) Jack Miller, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing chaplain, sits in the Victory Chapel sanctuary Dec. 6, 2018, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Miller was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in 2012 and told by doctors that he would never run long distances again. While deployed at Al Udeid, Miller trained for months and was able to complete the base’s Veterans Day 5K run Nov. 11, 2018.
