Their name liveth forever more is inscribed on the Stone of Remembrance in the British War Memorial in Arras, France.


Arras was at the centre of heavy fighting during World War One and located close to the front line. On 9 April 1917 the Battle of Arras began and saw some of the heaviest casualty figures of the war.
