Dental Technician 1st Class Francis Andaya performs a check up on a local villager in the province of Madang, Papa, New Guinea, as medical personnel from the USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) and the USNS Niagara Falls (T-AFS 3) provide health care on May 15, 2005. The Niagara Falls is off the coast of Madang where a volcano erupted earlier this year. The Mercy is en route to its homeport of San Diego after taking part in Operation Unified Assistance that provided tsunami and earthquake relief throughout Indonesia.
