With a view to ascertaining whether any relationship existed between the length of III and the supposed number of Text-fig. ^ h Calotermes durbanensis Haviland. a, b. Imago, c-g. Soldier. h. The results are shown in the following table, the length units being micro-ocular divisions. The proportions are seen to be peculiarly i-egular, especially the 10, 14, 18 series.
