The extensive disused Friction Dynamex factory, Caernarfon

The now closed Friction Dynamex brake parts factory near Caernarfon, site of one of Britain's longest industrial disputes. Previously the Ferodo factory, then latterly Friction Dynamics, its name was changed after the company refused to pay compensation awarded to the workers who had been locked out. The original Ferodo factory was opened by Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon in May 1962.
