The desire to secure specimens of the stamps of Mar-tinique and St. Vincent which has been aroused amongcollectors by the recent tragic events in those islands isfurther increased by the change which is now takingplace in the stamps of the latter country to those bear-ing the kings head. The set which has been issuedconsists of all the regular values from halfpence to fiveshillings. No stamps have been issued in any countrywhich approach in beauty of design and fineness of ex-ecution the various earlier issues of St. Vincent. Thelatest type in the ordinary De la Rue form is not verypleasing, but the fact that it is one of the King Edwardissues makes it desirable.
