Caius Mucius Scaevola holds his right hand in the sacrifice that burns on an altar. He does this to show the Etruscan King Lars Porsenna that he doesn't fear him. Porsenna and his army are left. In the foreground lies the secretary of Porsenna who has just killed by Muscius.
