The c )LORed burying ground is a part of Laurel Grove,and is justbeyoud the main enclosure. To a stranger it isworth a visit. The Cathedral cemetery, the Roman Catholic burialplace, is on the Thunderbolt shell road and the Coast Line rail-road, two miles from the city. The cemetery was foundedin 1852, and contains forty-five acres. It is handsomely laidoff and contains many fine mounds. It is the burial placeof Bishops Barry, Baron and Gartland. Before the Cathe-dral cemetery was founded the Boman Catholic burial placewas a part of the old cemetery on South Broad street. The old burying ground on South Broad street is one ofthe oldest cemeteries in America.
