Swiss Exhibition for Women's Work

The Swiss Exhibition for Women's Work (SAFFA) was an exhibition conceived by the major national women's organizations in Switzerland. The first SAFFA exhibition was held in Bern, 1928. The theme was to show the importance of female contributions to the social and economic activities in Switzerland at the time. The exhibition was organized and produced entirely by women, with the event heralded by this striking poster designed by Klara Fehrlin-Schweizer (1895-1985), Swiss painter and graphic artist.
