The Third Year's Work in the New Field- Near the close of tlie second year work in the new field I bought some land and a cottage at O'Brien, Florida which was then headquarters in the new field and decided to spend the winters there and work at the new business. Well I did spend the most of the following winter there and give the business another good shelve off by fixing up more supplies for increase and locatina: more apiary sites. At the close of the second season I had some surplus cash after all returns had come in and early in the spring of the third year I bought 200 colonies bees in three yards down the railroad from mine about ten miles, and there I estab- lished another branch of business and there I began to widen out, establishing apiaries around. I car- ried nearly 100 colonies bees from my
