This vintage tram works on a route between Sintra and the coastal resort of Paria das Macas 11 kilometers away. The trams only work three days a weeks, and only two are needed to operate the service on any one day. It is mainly single track with passing loops at various points. Sintra is about a 40 minute train journey from Lisbon and is a popular day trip.
