This image shows the geology and grandeur of this coastline. The massive granite outcrop of Carn Les Boel also overlooks Mill Bay. The mighty granite cliffs are pounded by the Atlantic Ocean and weather beaten by Atlantic wind and rain. Choughs (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax) have been reintroduced here and can be seen flying overhead. Scenes from the popular television series ‘Poldark’ were filmed near here. The South West Coast Path is popular with walkers and this part of the South West footpath gives excellent views of the rugged Cornish coastline near Lands End.
