As I visit Boston rather frequently, Isaw quite a little of the Princeton men in theHarvard Law School before they graduated, andwas most successfully entertained, on several oc-casions. Norman Armour and Newt Cass, Iwill recommend as very competent see something of the Princeton menin Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago, Indianapolis,Louisville and Richmond at odd times. For rec-reation and exercise, I joined the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry,which has several Princeton men in it; those from our class being SumnerMiller, Dutch Maury and myself. I also joined the University Barge Club,. 218 which you may remember was very thoroughly beaten by our good Prince-ton eight, on Carnegie Lake two years ago. There are also a large numberof Princeton men in this club. I have not had any very extensive holiday since leaving college until thisfall; when I spent the month of September in Europe. In London, I met BillBerry, and we went up to Oxford and rowed down the Thames to delightful trip! I will recommend it to any of the class who would like tospend four days in the lovely English country and quaint old inns which lieabout five miles apart, all the way down the river. In Paris, I met CharlieRead, who is now one of the prize students of the Beaux Arts. I suppose heknows lots about architecture, but I will tell you confidentially that he alsoknows a few things about Paris! I spent two weeks in the Latin Quarterwith him, and we had a most glorious time. Now, its back to work and at
